Obituary: The Eldon Advertiser, December 1976

Funeral services were held in Vandalia Monday for a former
resident of Olean, Mrs. Mabyl Inglish Crum. Mrs. Crum, 85, died Thursday,Dec. 23, 1976, in Maysville, Ky., where she had made her home in recent years. Her son, Dan, lives there.

Services were held on Friday in Maysville and at 2 p.m. Monday at the Walters Funeral Home in Vandalia with burial in the Vandalia Cemetery.

Mrs. Crum was born Jan. 12, 1891, at Olean, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sumpter Inglish. She grew up and attended school at Olean and later graduated from William Woods College, Fulton.

She was married in Olean to John Crum. They moved from Olean, where Mr. Crum had been with the Miller County Exchange Bank, to Meta where he became cashier of the bank and later to Vandalia where he was also engaged in banking. Mr. Crum died in May 1935.

Mrs. Crum moved from Vandalia to Kansas City and, in recent
years to Maysville. She was a member of the Christian Church. In addition to her son, Dan Crum, she is survived by a grandson, Daniel Crum and two great-grandchildren.
