Anthony was ordained as a Pastor at Temple Missionary Baptist Church and served as an Executive Pastor, where he was responsible for the worship services. He immediately enlisted in the United States Air Force after graduating from San Bernardino High School in 1978. He served in the military fourteen years, ending his term in the United States Army as a generator repair engineer. Anthony was an employee for Hub Construction Specialties for nineteen years, holding various positions from truck driver, dispatcher, and branch manager. At the time of his death, he was the Safety Director. Anthony married his high school sweetheart, Lisa Harris on November 7, 1989, at San Bernardino High School, where the couple attended and dated in high school. They were best friends for over thirty-six years. Together they had two sons and one daughter. Anthony was a faithful, loving, fun, husband and father. He was a friend to everyone he met and brought joy to every to everyone's heart with his sense of humor and contagious smile.
His parents, Damon "Stack" and Minnie Blacksher preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Lisa, son, Anthony Sean (Francine) Blacksher of Perris, California, son, Richard Blacksher, and daughter, Chelsie Blacksher of San Bernardino; one brother, Philip Blacksher of Colton; and mother in law, Edna Noble; a host of Godsons and daughters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, December 27, 2010, from 5-8 P.M. at Mt. View Mortuary, 570 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at 10:00 A.M. at Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 1583 Union St. in San Bernardino.
Interment will follow at Riverside National Cemetery.
