Dessie Lee Sweat, 86, of Rex, GA passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010.

Mrs. Sweat was born in Dacula, Gwinnett County, Georgia to the late Floyd G. & Emma Hamilton Burel.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years Frank G. Sweat.

Mrs. Sweat is survived by daughters and son in-law Pat Kennedy of Rex, GA, Carolyn Perkins of Fayetteville, GA, and Frances & Dixon Hay of Douglasville, GA; grandchildren Terri Bond, Cindy Behairy, Jimmy Kennedy, Nathan Perkins, Jr., John Hay, and Frank Hay; 9 great grandchildren; sister Clara Sweat of Forest Park, GA, and several nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, July 26, 2010 at Ward's Rockdale Chapel. Interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 5 to 8 PM at Horis A. Ward Rockdale Chapel, 1999 GA Hwy 138 Sw, Conyers, GA 30013. Condolences may be offered at www.horisawardrockdalechapel.com
