"Utah Native, 90, Dies In S.L. Home ~ Charles William Peck, 90, Utah native, died at his home, 768 Emerson ave., Monday at 5:35 p.m. of causes incident to age.
Mr. Peck was born Dec. 1, 1854, in Salt Lake City, a son of William and Olive Jennie Peck. His parents were among the first settlers of Utah, having crossed the plains in a covered wagon.
He had been a Salt Lake merchant for many years and retired from the mercantile business 10 years ago. He married Mary A. Cooper Dec. 23, 1872, in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City. He was an L.D.S. church member.
Survivors include his widow, Salt Lake City; four sons, Charles W. Peck Jr., Gordon D. Peck and Guy E. Peck, Salt Lake City, and Hugh L. Peck, Provo; a daughter, Mrs. Charles H. Worthen Jr., La Oroya, Peru; three brothers, Leo Peck, Ogden; F.S. Peck, Garland and George Peck, Santa Barbara, Cal.; a sister, Mrs. Sadie Cannon, Ogden; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren."

"Funeral services for Charles William Peck, 90, 768 Emerson ave., pioneer Utah settler, who died at his home Monday of causes incident to age, will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at 574 E. 1st South.
Friends may call at place of funeral until time of services. Burial will be in Salt Lake City Cemetery."
