Miss Sallie Ed Butler, 49, died at her home near Columbia on Monday, after a prolonged illness. Miss Butler was a member of a well-known Adair County family and was born and reared in the Mt. Pleasant community, being a daughter of Mrs. Florence Coakley Butler and the late Ed Butler. She belonged to the Christian Church.
She is survived by her mother; two brothers, John and Josh Butler, and three sisters, Mrs. C.H. Cox and Mrs. C.E. Wettle, both of Toledo, Ohio, and Mrs. W.A. Stevenson, of Commerce, Ga.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 o'clock this morning at the Butler residence, conducted by Rev. H.J. Conover. Interment was in the Butler Graveyard. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Herschel Cundiff, Claud Cundiff, Ed Ballou, Ewing Cundiff, Lewis Todd Butler, and Josh Allen Butler.
