I am a descendant of Soloman Parker and have studied him for 30 years.
There are no records of him as William Soloman. He was just Soloman.
Also he died after the 1860 census. He and Elizabeth and their grandchildren are listed on the Jackson Co. Census in 1860.

Note to myself and probably apocryphal: There are some that believe he had a brother who survived, married and had a family that was also named William Soloman Parker, Jr. His wife were Elizabeth Jane Brown, Macon Co., 1797 - 1880 and Mary Lucinda Queen, b. 1818, NC.
