- ROCK HILL - Mrs. Betty Jean Williams Simril, 79, of Rock Hill, passed away Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at Park Pointe Village in Rock Hill.
- Services for Mrs. Simril will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Boyce Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
- A native of York County, Mrs. Simril was the daughter of the late William T. Williams and the late Mattie Barry Williams. She was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church and a homemaker. She assisted her husband in his Charles Chip business and was a pink lady at Piedmont Medical Center for many years.
- Mrs. Simril is survived by her husband, D. Glenn Simril Sr.; her son, David G. Simril Jr. and his wife, Patti, of Rock Hill; her daughters, Clare Hayes and her husband, Windell and Glenda Small and her husband, Butch, all of Rock Hill; her brothers, W. Thomas Williams of Rock Hill and Sammy Williams of Charlotte; her sister, Martha Covington of Rock Hill; and her four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and Mrs. Simril's beloved and dedicated caregiver, Vernita Evans. A special thanks to Serenity Palliative & Hospice Care and Park Pointe Village for their care given to Mrs. Simril.
- The family will receive friends following the service at the church and other times at the home.
