Parker "P.L." was close friends with the Browns, who were earlier Immokalee settlers and maintained a very friendly rapor with the Seminole Indians in the area. Brown Tiger was a friend of P.L. and when first arriving, P. L. built a palmetto house for he and his wife, east of Immokalee.
He died on March 10, 1929, at the age of 56, and was buried in Baptist Church Cemetery, Immokalee, Collier, Florida,

Nov 25, 1905, he is listed as the incorporator of Samson Manufacturing Co, with the St of AL, specializing in lumber, real estate, fertilizer, etc.
By 1910, he has relocated to Walton Co, FL, with wife and children: Clinton Parker "Buck" Gaulding and Inza Gaulding-Morrison. He registered there in 1918 for WWI and described as med height, stout build with black hair and light brown eyes.
By 1920, he and family are in Collier Co, FL; where he and Mattie are listed as early settlers of Immokalee (f/k/a Gopher Ridge), in the book "Gopher Ridge", by Doris Moody Lewis.
