WEBER FARMER KILLED GIVING NEIGHBOR AID
William I. Lee of Plain City Is Gun Accident Victim
Accidentally discharging his shotgun into his left side Friday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock, William Isaac Lee, 25, Plain City, received mortal wounds from which he died at 9:54 o'clock at the Dee hospital.
As Lee left his home to go into a pasture for his cows, he picked up his shotgun and told his wife he would carry it, as he had recently seen rabbits.
On his way, Ralph Robinson, a neighbor, who was having difficulty with a scraper, called to him and Lee stepped over to assist in straightening a bar.
Lee jumped on the bar, it was said, and the gun was accidentally discharged, the entire load striking him below his left arm. Robinson hurried him to the Dee hospital where Dr. Clark Rich found his injuries were mortal.
Mr. Lee was born in Golden, Mont., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred B. Lee [Lavina Blanchard]. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Alberta Wintle Lee; an infant daughter, Bertie Lu Lee; his mother; one brother, Don Lee, of Lewisville, Idaho, and three sisters, Mrs. Fount King, Iona, Idaho; Mrs. Clair Taylor, Ogden; and Mrs. Gilbert Taylor, Plain City. Mr. Lee was a member of the L.D.S. church in Plain City. Funeral services are in charge of Larkin & Sons.
