She is the granddaughter to Joshua H. Scott & Nancy Ann Keen and George Humphrey Roe & Abby Jane Weldon.

She is the sister of Franklin, Walter, Anna, Andrew Hunter, Jr., Canby, Sarah Ann, Abby Jane, Howard, Rouzelle Eugene, Roselle, and Francelle. She is the half-sister to George Comb, Mary Emma, Hyrum Smith, and Ann Eliza whose mother is Sarah Ann Sleeper Harding. She is also half-sister to William Norton, Lois Dorothy, John Norton, General Winfield, Martha Zarelda, Melton Lee, Flora, Dallas Lavin, and Blanche whose mother is Martha Ann Norton Scott.

She married Jesse E. Harding on November 24, 1874, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
