She was a native of Wayne County and lived in Pierce County since 1941. She was a member of Patterson Baptist Church, a member of the Faith Sunday School Class and the oldest member of the church. She was the widow of J.C. Scurry.
SURVIVORS: a daughter and son-in-law, A.B. and Margaret Cochran of Hazlehurst; a son and daughter-in-law, Carlton and Carolyn Scurry of Palm Coast, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Cappie Tyre of Waycross; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives.
