Mrs Brugh died at the home of her son-in-law, Mr Archie Waid, near Fincastle, on Sunday morning, December 31, 1095, after several weeks illness.
She was the widow of the late Lewis Brugh, and daughter of Dr Micajah Pendleton–a distinguished physician who lived and died in Buchanan.
The deceased was well known by the citizens of Fincastle, and highly esteemed as a true and constant Christian woman. For many years she was a faithful member of the Episcopal church, a regular attendant on its services, and always ready to aid in every good work.
Her last days were spent at her old home with her daughter, Mrs Waid, who has been a constant companion and helper in her declining years.
She leaves only two children living– Mrs Waid of Fincastle, and Mrs Cogbill of Missouri.
The burial services which took place on Tuesday, Jan. 2nd, at 2 p.m. from the Episcopal church, were conducted by the pastor, Rev ___Ridout and her remains were buried in the Presbyterian cemetery by........
