Joe Boyes, 91, died at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart. He was born in Sidney, NE, and lived in Stuart since 1997, coming from Tulsa, OK.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Before retiring, he was a glazier for Safelite Glass Co. in Tulsa and a greeter at Walmart in Tulsa and Stuart.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Helen Boyes of Stuart; daughters, Karen Cole of Stuart and Arla Stoner of Port St. Lucie; son, Robert Boyes of Jenks, OK; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Alice Stratton of Kerrville, TX. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Kimberly McCue.
SERVICES: A graveside service will be at 10a Dec. 22 at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City. Arrangements are by Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City.
