Mrs. Friedericka David, 94 dies Saturday.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frederick David, 94
Monona's oldest resident, were held Wednesday
afternoon at 1:45 o'clock from the Schultz Funeral
home to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church at 2 o'clock with Rev. R.C. Schlueter officating.

Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery.
Mrs. Friedericka David died Saturday night, November
27, at 9:45 o'clock at her home from complications incident to old age.

As Friedericka Marie Caroline she was born the daughter of John Martens and Caroline, nee Klekbush, in Vierow, Pummerania, Germany, September 29, 1860.

She was married abroad May 19, 1888 to Frederick David, Their honeymoon trip was to America, coming here to visit relatives in South Dakota and Iowa for a time.

They then settled at Guttenberg for 19 years, near
Postville for a time, and then lived on the farm west of
Monona, now owned by Lyman Ferguson, for 11 years. They retired to Monoa about 25 years. ago.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter.
Agnes, and one son Herbert.

Surviving are; two daughters Hattie of Monona and Mrs. Melbert (Bertha) Folsom of St. Cloud Min. One son Alfred of Monona; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Music at the service was provived by a quartet composed of Mrs. Lydia Pufahl, Mrs. R.C. Schlueter, Martin Kurdelmeyer, and Rev. Schlueter, Mrs. George Heins Jr. and the organist.

Paulbearers were R.R. Waskow, Walter Garms, George Wilker, Robert Garms, Emil DeSotel, and Hugo Harberg.
