Our dear sweet mother, grandmother, sister and "Aunt Rosie" passed away December 17, 2010.
She was born February 29, 1924, to Samuel E. and Delila Green Beckstead in her grandmother's home in Union, Utah, where she spent her childhood years. She attended schools in Jordan School District.
Rosella married Earl H. Matthews on January 4, 1944. She was a member of the LDS Church.
She will be missed dearly by her children: Sandra (Pete) Morgan, of Heber City, Diana (Glen) Slaugh, of West Jordan, Mike (Darlene) Matthews, of Murray, and Rochelle Matthews, of Murray; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Brewer, of Tooele; and numerous nieces and nephews that she very much cared for.
Preceded in death by husband, Earl; youngest son, Sam; parents; two sisters, Doris and Joyce; and brother, Sam.
Graveside services Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 2 P.M. Viewing from 1-2 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Murray, Utah.
Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
