Henry A. Head, retired farmer and prominent resident of the village of Johnsonburg, died Monday evening at 8:30 o'clock of infirmities of age. He was a member of the Varysburg Masonic lodge for 61 years. He was born in the town of Sheldon, April 30, 1846, the son of Joseph and Harriet Johnson Head.
He is survived by his wife, Hattie Skinner Head, and a brother Charles Head, living in Ann Arbor. Mr. and Mrs. Head celebrated their 60th wedding anniversay last Fourth of July.
Funeral services took place this Thursday afternoon at his late home with Rev. John Noble, officiating, with Masonic services at the cemetery.
