Shirley R. Tays
Shirley Ray Tays of 58955 10 Mile Road died unexpectedly June 18, 1976.
The son of Willie and Nora (Richardson) Tays, he was born December 17, 1933 in Jamestown, Tennessee.
At the time of his death, he was an inspector for the C&O Railroad.
He is survived by his wife Katherine, whom he married on June 16, 1961.
In addition, he is survived by his children Scott, Starr, Mary, Cynthia, Nikola, Dawn, Anita, Billy, and Mark who reside at his home, as well as by two stepchildren Janice Wallace and Charles Faulkner of South Lyon.
Other survivors are his brother William of Jamestown and Roy of South Lyon.
Rev. Robert Beddingfield officiated at services held Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home.
A Masonic memorial service was held later that evening.
He was interred at Memorial Gardens in Jamestown.
