She was born Dec. 2, 1929, in Mingo, Iowa, to Daniel and Flossie Hole Rankin. She married Eugene Monsive on Oct. 21, 1950, in Butte, Mont.
She grew up and attended schools in Ennis, Mont. She was a homemaker.

They moved to Cottage Grove in 1969 from the California Bay Area.
She enjoyed playing the organ, writing and crafts - including painting and sewing. She was a member of the Cottage Grove Organ Club and the Sunshine Club in Dorena.
