Helena Frances Morrison died Tuesday at the Gallatin Rest Home in Bozeman.
Frances was born on Sept. 17, 1916, in Peru, Iowa, to Tom and Flossie (Hole) Rankin. She was oldest of 10 children. Frances was raised and went to school in the Peru, Iowa area. The family moved to Montana in 1936, and in 1941 they purchased the Wigwam Ranch at Varney.
Frances married Clarence Morrison on Dec. 2, 1942. They lived in Twin Bridges until 1954, when they moved to Whitehall and purchased the Mint Bar. Clarence died in 1968, and Frances continued to operate the bar. She later married Dale Morris, sold the bar and bought a ranch west of Whitehall. They later divorced. Frances lived in Spokane and Three Forks, in her later years.
She was preceded in death by infant twin daughters; a son Neil; three sisters, three brothers; and husbands, Clarence and Dale.

Graveside services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Sheridan Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Thursday at the K & L Mortuary in Three Forks, and on Friday and Saturday morning at the Scott Funeral Home, Whitehall.
