Mrs. Lois Reid Jennings, age 87, of 17 N. Central Ave., Lindale, passed away Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at a local hospital.

Mrs. Jennings was born in Fruithurst, Ala., on Sep. 13, 1917, daughter of the late Thomas Guston Reid and the late Laura Pearl Wilson Reid. She was a member of Lindale United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Pioneers Sunday school class. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Jennings worked at West Point Pepperell Manufacturing for 39 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and by three sisters, Miss Lula Belle Reid, Mrs. Grace Barclay and Mrs. Zelma Bryant.

Survivors include her husband, John C. Jennings, to whom she was married on Feb. 6, 1948; a cousin, Mrs. Geraldine LaGro, Lindale; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jennings will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Pieter Debruyn officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home today from 6 until 8 p.m. At other hours they may be contacted at the residence.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
