Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial was in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery near Claremont.
Mr. Gray was born on April 15, 1919, in Lawrence County, the son of William Wallace and Martha Ann (York) Gray. He married Pauline Greer on December 24, 1938. She survives.
He worked for W.C. McBride Oil Co. for 44 years as a pumper. He was a member of Petrolia United Methodist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Mr. Gray is survived by his wife, Pauline Gray, of rural Bridgeport; a son, Bill Gray, of Bridgeport; a daughter, Diana .Gray, of Lawrenceville; three sisters, Josephine Hunley, of Clay City, Frances "Peg" Hawley, of Flat Rock, and Shirley Thompson, of Robinson; five grandchildren, Suzanne Jordan, Michelle Manning, Andrea Gray, Traci Gray and Billy Gray; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Forrest Gray.
