Funeral services for Vivian Kathryn Riddle, 86, of Cookeville will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 20, from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crestlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-9
p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Riddle died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 17, 1918, in Putnam County to the late Robert Fain and Alice Carrie Ray Netherton.
Mrs. Riddle was retired from Wilson Sporting Goods and was a member of West View Baptist Church.
Her family includes her husband of 65 years, Hurshal Riddle, whom she married on Nov. 4, 1939; a son and daughterinlaw, Bruce and Penny Riddle of Sparta; daughters and sonsinlaw Shirley and Hoyt Maberry, Retha and David Mayberry, Debbie and Joe Maberry, all of Cookeville; a brother and sisterinlaw, Dawson and Edith Netherton of Cookeville; and a sister, Millie Wall of Cookeville; seven
grandchildren and spouses, Ronnie and Vicki Mayberry, Lisa and Tim Hammons, Marcie and Matt Manzaro, Mark and Amy Maberry, Elizabeth Maberry, LeAnn and Carrie Riddle; six greatgrandchildren, Megan, Maicie and James David Hammons, Kala Mayberry and Andrew and Emma Manzaro; and special
friends Judy Hix, Diane Fox, Wanell Goolsby and Sandra Hughes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Vaden, Charlie and Bob Netherton; two sisters, Veleda Bennett and Velna Eldridge; and two infant siblings.
