COOKEVILLE – Funeral services for Mr. Charlie V. Netherton, 61, of Cookeville, will be held Wed., May 16, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home with the Rev. Maurice Moore and the Rev. James M. Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Double Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Netherton died Mon., May 14, 1984, in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Murfreesboro.
A native of Tennessee, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Alice Carrie Ray Netherton. He was a member of the Cookeville First United Methodist Church. Mr. Netherton and his son owned and operated Wayne's Service Station on
Washington Ave., Cookeville.
His family includes his son, Wayne Netherton of Cookeville; four sisters, Mrs. Luther (Veleda) Bennett, Mrs. Hurshal (Vivian) Riddle, and Mrs. Estel (Millie) Wall, all of Cookeville, and Mrs. Velna Eldridge of Mt. Clemens, MI; two brothers, Vaden Netherton and Dawson Netherton, both of Cookeville.
