Constance M. (Connie) Smock, 66, of 8814 Essex House, Golfview Manor, Meadville, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Hamot Medical Center in Erie.

Born in Meadville on Jan. 24, 1944, she was a daughter of Robert and Eleanor Rice Garbark. She married Lloyd Smock, who survives.

She was of the Catholic faith.

A phlebotomist with Meadville Medical Center and Franklin Hospital, she loved cooking and having family gatherings and also enjoyed fishing.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Amy L. Siple and her husband, R. Todd, of Saegertown and Kim Jewell and her husband, Michael, of Meadville; two sons, Scott M. Beatty and his wife, Marty, of Meadville and Matthew J. Beatty of Cambridge Springs; a sister, Beverly McArdle and her husband, Don, of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a brother, John Garbark of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren, Bridgette Jewell, Ryan Jewell, Nate Siple, Clayton Betty, Jesse Siple, Becca Siple, Stevie Siple and Hannah Beatty; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Garbark.

A memorial service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 544 Chestnut St., Meadville, with the Rev. Mark O'Hern of St. Brigid Roman Catholic Church officiating.

Burial will be in St. Brigid Cemetery in West Mead Township.
