Interment will follow the service in Dixie Cemetery in Dixie. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
Family visitation will be this evening, Dec. 14 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Robert Woolsey died on Dec. 13, 2010 in Denton.
He was born Dec. 19, 1931 to William J. and Dovie L. (Arden) Woolsey in Gunter. He married Iona Hilliard. He was of the Baptist faith, served as a firefighter in Gainesville years ago, and was also an oil field pumper.
He is survived by his wife, Iona Hilliard Woolsey of Gordonville; his sons, William Woolsey and wife Lisa of Gordonville, Roger Woolsey and wife Joyce of Gordonville and Phillip Woolsey and wife Tracy of Gainesville; a daughter, Vickie Colteryahn and husband Kent of Callisburg; two sisters, Mona Cantrell of Willis, Okla. and Margaret Warren of Whitesboro; two brothers, William Glen Woolsey of Myra and David Woolsey of Whitesboro; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dovie Woolsey; a sister, Betty Steward and two brothers, Aubrey Woolsey and Otis Woolsey.
Pallbearers will be Greg Woolsey, Jace Woolsey, Jeff Threadgill, Phillip Woolsey, Ricky Hilliard and Jack Warren.
