Funeral service was held recently at Mara, B.C. for George Jasper Scott 87. Mr. Scott was well known in this area since he farmed in the Wood Mountain district for 16 years. Born in Pennsylvania in 1871 he married Ida Abbott in Kansas in 1892. The family moved to the Wood Mountain district in 1913 where they resided until moving to Prince George, B.C. in 1929.
