Mrs. Springer died Jan. 14, 2004, at a Caldwell hospital.
She was born Feb. 25, 1905, in Killeen, the daughter of the late William Joseph and Sophie Heiman Douglas.
Mrs. Springer was a member of the Caldwell Brethren Church.
She married Frank Springer March 11, 1922, in Killeen. He preceded her in death Feb. 7, 1966.
Mrs. Springer was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, J.W. "Johnny" Springer of Deanville; a daughter, Ila Dawn Griffin of San Marcos; a sister, Mabel Norman of Houston; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Springer was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
