Dolly Roop Kendrick (August 2, 1925 - December 2, 2010), passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Superior Woods Assisted Living surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born August 2, 1925 in Whitehouse, KY, the Daughter of Marion and Goldie (Ramey) Stapleton.

Mrs. Kendrick retired from the Ford Motor Company Rawsonville Plant in Ypsilanti, MI. Mrs. Kendrick was devoted to her faith and believed that prayer conquered all. She held a prayer service at her home every Thursday, and mentored new Christians in their faith and living a Christian life. She was the last founding member of the Free Will Baptist Church, Ypsilanti, MI, and a member of Victorious Life Church of God, Ypsilanti, MI.

Mrs. Kendrick was a devoted and loving Mother to her children Avery (Sarah) Goble and Gwen (Jim) Plaunt. She adored her grandchildren Kristin Plaunt, Tim Gilbert, Kim Easterday, and Lorrie Gilbert, and many great and great, great grandchildren.

Survivors include three sisters, Bertha (Scorch) Cline of Prestonsburg, KY, Lenora (Speed) Hurd of Ypsilanti, and Lillian (William) Smith of Lake Wells, FL; many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Kendrick was preceded in death by three husbands: Avery F. Goble, Astor Roop, and Robert Kendrick; five brothers and four sisters. Funeral service will be held Monday, December 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Victorious Life Church of God, 860 E. Clark Rd., Ypsilanti with Pastor Larry Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
