Vera June Murray, 86, died on Friday, Dec. 10, 2010.
She was born June 9, 1924, the daughter of Eddie and Ruby (Drake) Chatfield, on their homestead west of Goodland in Sherman County. She went to school at Ruleton and Goodland.
She and Glen Murray were married on Jan. 19, 1942, just before he went to the service for World War II.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Lakin.
Survivors include her children Connie of Raton, N.M., Virgil of Scott City and Carol of Lakin; two brothers, Lowell Chatfield of Goodland and Elton Chatfield of West Covina, Calif.; 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two brothers, Eddie and Oliver Chatfield.
Services was at the United Methodist Church in Lakin. Burial was at the Lakin Cemetery.
