Urben S. BAHNEY, 59, died at 4:10 a.m. today at his home, R.R. 1, Akron, of complications of a heart condition. Mr. Bahney had been ill for the past three years and seriously ill for six weeks.
Born Oct. 28, 1903 in Miami county, he was the son of Samuel and Mary Ellen YARIAN BAHNEY. His marriage was Jan. 18, 1928, to Nellie DILSAVER, who survives. Mr. Bahney was a farmer and had spent his entire life in Akron community.
Surviving with the wife are a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Bonnie) MILLER, R.R. 2, Roann; four sons, Bob BAHNEY, R.R. 2, Kewaqnna; Marvin and Virgil BAHNEY, R.R. 1, Akron, and John BAHNEY, R.R. 2, Macy; nineteen grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Roseta OLIVER, Akron; Mrs. Albert (Hazel) SCHIPPER, R.R. 1, Roann, and Mrs. William (Verna) BEMENDERFER, Indianapolis, and a brother, Mose BAHNEY, R.R. 2, Roann. Two brothers preceded in death.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Akron Church of God, with the Rev. Harold CONRAD officiating. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Friends may call at the Sheetz funeral home in Akron after 1 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday and at the church one hour before services.
