Lewis Monroe McCormick, 74 year old retired farmer of Wayne City, died at 1:22 a. m. today in Fairfield Memorial Hospital. The body is at Richardson Chapel in Wayne City where friends may call until the funeral hour, which will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Ellis Mound Church. Burial will be in Garrison Cemetery. Born in Wayne County Aug. 2, 1879, he was the son of David and Millie (Forth) McCormick. Survivors include three sons, Less, Jay, and Dave, all of Wayne City; three daughters, Maudie Campbell, Wayne City, Ethel Monroe, Mt. Vernon, and Martha McCormick at home; two brothers, John of Mt. Vernon and Chess of Wayne City; and four sisters, Gertie Richards of Wayne City, Manda Friend of Fairfield, Martha Mathis of Phoenix, Ariz., and Hester Isaac of Wayne City.
