OBITUARY
Henry Michael Koontz died Wednesday, January 24, 1940, at
the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Breitweiser, 15 John Street, this city, following a prolonged illness. He was the son of the late Henry and Sarah Crouse Koontz, and was 88 years of age. His wife, Maria Bair Koontz, preceded him in death six years ago. He leaves three children as follows: Mrs. Harry Royer, Mrs. William King and Mrs. William Breitweiser, all of Westminster; also 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 PM from the Breitweiser residence. The Rev. John H. Hoch, Uniontown Church of God and the Rev. George A. Early of the Westminster Church of the Brethren will officiate. Burial will be in the Westminster Cemetery. Mr. Koontz was a member of the Warfoldsburg Church of God for the past 50 years.
The pallbearers will be: Norman Willett, grandsons, H. Edgar, Jesse C. and Ralph K. Royer, Lester and Mervin Deardorff. H. Bankard & Sons, funeral directors.
