MARY GRACE (nee JENNINGS) SCOTT

She was the first child of six children born to her parents--

Nathan Brownfield Jennings

and

Elizabeth Jane (nee Findley) Jennings.

----------

Paternal Lineage - NOTES:

It is through her paternal "JENNINGS" lineage that she is DNA related to Sir Winston Churchill (of England) and Princess Diana (of England).

Winston Churchill, in full Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill, (born 30 Nov 1874, Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire, England—died 24 Jan 1965, London), British statesman, orator, and author who as prime minister (1940–45, 1951–55) rallied the British people during World War II.

Diana, Princess of Wales (born Diana Frances Spencer; 1 Jul 1961 – 31 Aug 1997), was a member of the British royal family. She was the first wife of Charles, Prince of Wales—the heir apparent to the British throne—and was the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry.

Maternal Lineage - NOTES:

It is through her mother's lineage that she inherits her Irish heritage.

----------

Mary Grace was a school teacher before she was married. She married

James Alfred Scott, who was also teaching school.

At age 18, Mary Grace married on 13 May 1891, in McPherson County, Kansas, to

James Alfred Scott. The ceremony was performed by REVEREND Clark.

Children of this marriage--

Gladys Iona Scott Dunlap (1892-1968)

Raymond Cyril Scott (1894-1961)

Laurel Flynn Scott (1896-1979) [my maternal grandfather - (D.H.T.)]

Clarence Jennings Scott (1900-1943)

Zara Harold Scott (1904-1956)

Mary Elizabeth Rebecca Scott Webster (1908-1989)

At age 35, Mary Grace died from child birth complications, shortly after the birthing of her last child.

In her marriage, Mary Grace was a loving and devoted wife and mother.

She was a help mate to her spouse as a housewife, helping run the family

store in Kansas, and as a farmer's wife when the family moved to Oklahoma.
