Sharlene Bell, age 73, of Minerva, died Monday, December 6, 2010 in the Alliance Community Hospital.

She was born January 1, 1937 in Greensburg, Indiana to Frank and Opal (Clary) Cook. She graduated from Minerva High School in 1955.

She was a housewife and retired from Rite-Aid in Minerva and had worked for Thomas Drug Store, the Quik Shoppe and was a secretary for Minerva Wax Paper. She is a member of the Minerva United Methodist Church and helped with Relay for Life in Minerva and was a member of Club 55.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Gary Bell, whom she married on September 10, 1955; daughter, Teri Lyn (Brody) Hollar of Minerva; two sons, Brad (Gina) Bell of Louisville and Kevin (Tracey) Bell of Minerva; brother, Gary (Caroline) Cook of Medina; seven grandchildren, Shanna (Rob) Clemens of Columbus, Dirk (Carrie) Hollar of Portsmouth, Lyndsay Bell of North Carolina, Tyler Hollar of Portsmouth, Chad Bell of Minerva, Drew Bell of Louisville, and Chelsea Bell of Louisville; three great-grandchildren, Cali and Cash Clemens and Keegan Hollar. She is preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Haynam.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Kerry King officiating.
Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the services.
