Union, March 9 - Mrs Elizabeth Spangler entered into rest at her home in Union at 7:30 o'clock last Tuesday night, March 5th, 1912, in the 87th year of her age. The call came to her almost without warning. While gradually failing under the burden of advancing years she had seemed in her usual health, and, after eating supper, was sitting in the dining room when she suddenly sank forward. Her son, Mr Walter W Spangler, caught her in his arms, and laying her on the bed, called for help. Before a physician could reach her she passed away, gently breathing her life out without a struggle or sigh. Mrs Spangler was the widow of the late Mr Lewis Spangler, who preceded her to the grave some twenty years ago. Before her marriage she was a Miss Pyles of this county.
