Mrs. Eunice Doshia Clark nee Smith slipped away into Jesus arms Nov. 30, 2010,Eunice accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 73. The daughter of Thomas Redmond and Effie Mae Smith nee Richards. She was born in Grant County, New Mexico on the old Robert's place, on Nov. 8, 1918.
Eunice was the baby of the family of 2 brothers and 7 sisters. She was raised mostly in Separ, New Mexico, where she met and fell in love with Jack Lester Clark II at the age of 13 in her dad and mom's store. They eloped on July 9, 1934, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, at the court house by the Judge she went to school with in Separ, when she was 15 and Jack (she called him Tex) was 23. They were married for 61 years.
Tex and Eunice had 6 children, Leona Elizabeth Clark Southern born on 12-31-1935 in Deming, New Mexico (deceased), Jack Lester Clark 4th born 7-17-1937,Silver City, New Mexico, deceased) Joseph Alfred Clark born 5-24-1939 in Mesa AZ(deceased) Danial Carol Clark born 10-6-1940 in AZ(deceased) Eunice Lenora Clark Collier born 8-6-1942 in Tempe, AZ. And Jimmy Thomas Clark born 3-1-1946 in Phoenix AZ, deceased) She has 19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren. Plus, many nephews, nieces, and cousins from here to Texas.
Eunice had many accomplishments in her life. She has composed a song, written 2 books on the family history of the Smith's and Clark's, drew out a map of the little town of Separ, New Mexico. This map is in the Lordburg Museum, New Mexico, and because Separ was a rail road station, this map is also in the Southern Pacific Railroad Museum in Washington DC. She also put Separ on the internet under ghost towns, with pictures of the old school house where her and her sisters and brother went to school and most of all the names of the kids she went to school with plus their teachers, One teacher Mrs. Brooks owned a ghost town that western movies are made at now named Shakespear N.M..
