She loved her father and mother very much and was always caring for their need's when ever she knew of them. She was a very loving daughter to them, and sister to her brother's and sister also. Leona married 1st husband Walter Phillips, having one son Walter Irvin Phillips Jr. then divorced and married Roger Wayne Southern in 1957, Roger adopted Irvie and named him Roger Irvin Southern. They also had 3 other children, Colleen Beth Gulas, Danal Wayne and Corrine Susann Kinstler. Leona has 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
She loved to sew for her children who were the joy of her life. As Roger and her would go on trips in the motor home she would set up her sewing machine as Roger drove on down the road. She also had a missionary's heart, as always when going on trips, her and her friends would fill their motor homes up with all kinds of clothing, coats and such and give it out to the poor where ever they went. She had a great many friends too. Leona accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior so is now with her Saviour and God in Heaven.
