The Massachusetts Births and Christenings, 1639-1915, gives Abner's birth as 14 April 1774 to parents Abner Crowell (b. 1736) and Sarah (Lewis) Crowell (b. 1746). Presently Abner is linked to Abner Crowell (b. 1754) and Tabitha (Kelley) Crowell (b. 1754) who weren't married until 1776, so Abner couldn't be their son.
