Mr. Shores was a native of Macon but had made his home in Milledgeville. He retired from Norfolk Railroad as an engineer with 35 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Marines Corp. His passions included hunting, fishing, and shooting pool, listening to old country music and watching old westerns. He was loved and will be missed by all.
Survivors include his wife Patti Worthington of Milledgeville, two sons Durwood Shores of Mt. Airy, NC, John Shores of Macon and two step-daughters Tammy Jenson and Aletta Worthington both of Milledgeville, a brother J.C. Shores of Bolingbroke, 5 sisters: Juanita Adams, Nora Brannon and Gloria Allred all of Byron, Mary Nell Moye of Augusta, Dorothy Haddock of Bonaire, 4 grandchildren: Jessie Clara and Crystal Shores, Katelynn Robinson and Ashley Jenson, 8 great grandchildren.
