The family moved to Prineville when Bruce was four months old. He attended the schools in Prineville, and graduated from Crook County High School in 1965.
He joined the Air Force and served 26 years. He returned to Prineville after retirement and was employed by Les Schwab at the time of his death. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
He is survived by his parents, who live in Prineville; a daughter Joan, currently in Kuwait; a sister, Saundra Warren and her husband, Ted, of Oakland, California; one aunt; and four cousins.
Bruce was cremated and his ashes scattered in the forest as per his request. He was remembered by his friends and fellow veterans at a pot luck dinner held at the Vets Club.
