Jacob R. 'Jerry' Strayer, 73, East Freedom, died Mon., Dec. 6, 2010 at Bon Secours Hospital. He was born in East Freedom to McKinley & Jennie (Feather) Strayer. He married Carol Chamberlain on Dec. 7, 1970, in Bellwood. Survived by wife; brothers: William Strayer, of Imler and Charles Strayer, of East Freedom; and sisters: Lena Finnegan, of Claysburg and Sally Lingenfelter, of East Freedom. Predeceased by sisters: Daisy Brubaker and Edna Allison. Jerry retired as a machine operator from Grannas Bros. in 2000 and served in the U.S. Army from 1961-63. Miller Funeral Home, East Freedom. Interment, Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
