Brooklet - Tyrel Minick, 71, died Monday at his home near Brooklet after a short illness. He was a native of Saluda, S.C., but had lived in Bulloch County since 1921 and was a retired farmer. He was employed by Parker Stockyard and was a member and deacon of Leefield Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Tyrel Minick of Brooklet; a daughter, Mrs. David Lee of Atlanta; a son, Addison Minick of Brooklet; three brothers, Woodrow Minick of Toccoa, Wash., Guy Minick of Savannah and Jake Minick of Macon; seven sisters, Mrs. Grady Sellgrove of Columbia, S.C., Mrs. Floyd Woodcock, Mrs. Dan Smith and Mrs. Harry Peets, all of Savannah, Mrs. James Lanier of Brooklet and Mrs. Dell Hendrix and Mrs. Milwee Rushton, both of Atlanta; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Leefield Baptist Church, with burial in Brooklet City Cemetery. Smith-Tillman Mortuary of Statesboro is in charge.
