Mrs. Elise Minick Lee, a native of Bulloch County and long time resident of Atlanta, passed away Thursday, the 22nd of December at her home in the King's Bridge Retirement Community.
Born in 1927, Elise was the daughter of Tyrel and Minnie Belle Joiner Minick. She was married to David B. Lee in June 1947. Elise and David enjoyed 67 years of marriage before his passing in November, 2014.
She is survived by her daughters: Pat (Will) Schmidt and Jan (Stephen) Ratterree; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Addison and Nora Minick. Elise loved her family and friends, but above all, her Lord. She was a long time member of Briarlake Baptist Church. Her quiet and sweet spirit was a testimony of her unwavering faith in God.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 1:30PM until the funeral hour at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30pm in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
Interment will be in the Brooklet City Cemetery.
