Charles Elser Dies At Wheel Of Truck
Charles Elser, 111 Enterprise Street, died suddenly of a heart attack suffered while at the wheel of an H.& K. transport truck south of Bryan.

Elser, who was alone in the truck, was found slumped over the wheel by Ike Miller, who was also driving an H.& K. truck. He suffered the attack five miles south of Bryan on Route 15, near the Immanuel Lutheran Church, and pulled his truck off the road before the end. Miller came along a short time later with another H.& K. truck and found Elser dead when he stopped to investigate the parked truck.

Coroner E.R. Jacka was called and the body was removed to the Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home.

Mr. Elser was 52 years old. He leaves his wife; two daughters, Eleanor at home and Mrs. Doris Stuller; and three sons, Kenneth, Herbert and Robert Elser. Funeral arrangements are to be made Wednesday evening.


Charles was married to Eva Pearl Chaney on Dec. 19, 1908 in Antwerp, Paulding, Ohio. They had the following 5 children:

Robert Lavon
Doris Mildred
