Christ Elser. 71, a retired farmer who had resided in Mark Township, Defiance County, on RR1, Sherwood, for the past 52 years, died early Wednesday morning in the Camerson Hospital in Bryan after an extended illness. He was a member of the Farmer Grange and Defiance County Farm Bureau. Surviving are the widow, Laura May; a son, Fay Elser, Wauseon; a sister Mrs. Emma Kisabeth, Hicksville, and two brothers, Roy Elser, Osseo, Mich., and Harry Elser, Cortland. The body is at the Greenisen Funeral Home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Farmer Cemetery.
