It appears that Roseana was born in York County, SC. She may have a younger brother, Robert P Jackson. Their parents are not yet identified.

Roseana married George W Simrel and they are the parents of Nancy, Johnnie, Mattie, William, Anna Lillian, Dora, Marie Simrel Lawrence, Tommie, Clarence and Hattie Simrel. Altogether they had eleven children - six of them surviving to 1910.

Roseana was a widow when admitted to the hospital. She was hospitalized 10 mo 6 days and died of cerebral arteriosclerosis. Her daughter, Hattie Belle, had been admitted here in 1931 and would die here in 1942. She, too, is buried on hospital grounds.
