Joy Malone Kelley, 95, of Italy passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab in Italy.

Services will be 3 p.m. today at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Chapel in Italy. Interment will follow at Frost Cemetery.

Mrs. Kelley was born Aug. 7, 1907, in Frost to Victor M. and Fannie (Cook) Malone. She married Ervin Kelley March 28, 1926. She was a member of the Italy Church of Christ. She loved to fish, work in her garden, work with arts and crafts, and she was a good cook.

She was preceded in death by her son, J. E. Kelley Jr. in 1983; brothers, Billy Earl Malone, Victor Mills Malone and Floren Scott Malone; mother, Fannie Cook Malone; father, Victor Mancill Malone; and stepmother, Willa Mills Malone.

Survivors include her loving husband of 76 years, Ervin Kelley of Italy; daughter, Bobbie Jean Davis and husband Killian of Italy; daughter-in-law, Louise Kelley of Italy; sisters, LaVerne Elmore of Mertens, Maurine Bennett of Mexia, Kathern Ann Horton of Corsicana, Jackie Lynn Anderson of Lorena, Jerry Sue Malone of Garland and Judy S. Schronk of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Cherrie Scott of Italy, Teresa Petty of Maypearl and Cherilyn Davis of Italy; six great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
