Funeral Services Planned Tuesday Morning for Washington Resident
Mrs. Vesper Blanche Jones, 68, of 1301 East Third Street died Saturday afternoon, July 24, at three o'clock at the hospital after an illness of two years. She had been seriously ill since last December.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock in the Jones Funeral Home with burial in Elm Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was born March 20, 1883 in Cedar County, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Minnie Mills White. She was reared and educated in Washington County and was married Feb. 9, 1910 in Washington to Madison Jones. She had lived in Washington for 20 years.
Survivors include her husband; her aged mother, Mrs. Minnie White; one daughter, Bernadine Jones; six sisters, Mrs. Karl Libe, Mrs. Clyde Rouse, Mrs. Floyd Banks, all of Washington, Mrs. Don Beatty of Iowa City; Mrs. Paul Lytle of Burlington; and Mrs. Frank Libe of Washington.
