Dennis Melvin Verzole, 81, of Liverpool died Monday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Born in Syracuse, he was a graduate of Vocational High School. He retired in 1979 after 34 years with Allied Chemical. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving as a master sergeant, and was a member of Mattydale Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, Winoa Golf Course and Allied Chemical Retirees. Survivors: His wife, the former Marguerite Mancini; a daughter, Denise Imbesi of Cicero; two brothers, Bernard of Syracuse and Douglas of Canastota; three sisters, Rosemary Garrettson of Connecticut, Thelma Peters of Florida and Marjory Donovan of Lyncourt; three grandchildren. Services: 8:45 a.m. Thursday at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Liverpool. Burial, Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours, 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 514 Turtle St., Syracuse.
