GAINESBORO Funeral services for Aaron Clifford Flatt, 77, of the Bloomington Springs Community of Putnam County, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, at Anderson Upper
Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. today, Thursday, Dec. 4, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Flatt died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 15, 1931, in Jackson County to the late Jace and Grace Pippin Flatt. Mr. Flatt was a welder and a farmer. He was a member of Double Springs Church of Christ and the oldest of nine siblings.
His family includes his wife, Thelma Jewell Flatt of Bloomington Springs (whom he married Aug. 4, 1953); a son and daughterinlaw, Aaron Dale and Judy Flatt of Bloomington Springs; a daughter and soninlaw, Linda Faye and Don Randolph of Cookeville; two brothers, Huston Flatt of Bloomington Springs and Terry Flatt of Chattanooga; two sisters and a brotherinlaw, Anna Faye Allen and Reba Sue and David Rector, all of Cookeville; and four grandchildren, Sean Flatt and fiancee Hillary Pate, Sarah Randolph, Kasey Nichols and husband John and Kayla Flatt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Atha Darwin and Paul Flatt, and twin sisters.
